Bedroom Lighting Guide for a Beautiful Retreat

Hi there,
Think about the last few minutes before you go to sleep.
That's probably when you notice your bedroom lighting most.
A single bright ceiling light might illuminate everything perfectly — but that doesn't necessarily make the room feel relaxing.
The bedrooms we find most inviting usually use light in layers: a beautiful central fixture, softer bedside lighting and smaller pools of light exactly where they're needed.
Our latest article, “Bedroom Lighting Guide for a Beautiful Retreat,” looks at how to bring those elements together without over-lighting the room.
We cover chandelier and pendant proportions, bedside lighting, colour temperature and how different sources of light can completely change the atmosphere after sunset.
Here's a simple test we often recommend:
Tonight, switch off your main ceiling light and look at what's left.
If the room suddenly becomes too dark to use comfortably, you may be missing a layer of lighting.
A bedroom doesn't need more brightness everywhere. It needs the right light in the right places.
Warm regards,
ChandeliersLife Team.
